You know you’re in for some rough weather, when a day of projected sunshine makes national headlines. “Summer makes a comeback!” the headlines read. With the summery day forecast for Saturday, we felt obligated to head out and enjoy the warmth radiating from this mysterious bright orb.
Entering into October, autumn is now in full swing, so we decided it would be a perfect day to practice some photography. We packed our nistepakke, and headed down to The University of Bergen Arboretum and Botanical Gardens in Milde.
There, we were greeted with gorgeous shades of red, orange and yellow, a forest of thriving deflowered rhododendrons – Scandinavia’s largest, quaint cottages, and old stone paths. We saw locals picking buckets of mushrooms, and children playing down by the water perfecting their fishing skills in the pools of water teeming with fish and other sea life.
As the afternoon progressed, clouds returned, and lighting deteriorated, I suddenly felt the need for an SLR.
